100 Posts of Magic, Mess, and Learning!

There are moments in a journey where you have to stop, not because you’re done, but because the path itself asks to be acknowledged. This is one of those moments. 

Today marks the 100th post on our blog. And honestly? That number carries more weight than I expected it to. Not because every post was perfect, because trust me, they weren’t. Not because every plan worked, because again, they didn’t. But because we kept showing up. We are still here, years later, still posting about things we find interesting. That is amazing, and deserves to be celebrated. 

The Beginning of Nyx’s Grove

Nyx’s Grove didn’t start out as a brand, it started as a need. A need for grounded magic. A need for spirituality that fits real life; kids, chaos, exhaustion, and doubt included. A need for a place where witchcraft wasn’t performative or pristine, but lived-in. Where our magic could grow and expand in a safe space. 

The early posts were scrappy. Some were written late at night, some were written last minute, some written while completely overwhelmed. And honestly, some were written because the alternative was giving up completely. But what mattered most, is that they were honest. True to who we are and who we were trying to be at the time. I’d like to think that we are still in that same space. 

What we’ve learned in 100 Posts

We’ve learned a lot in the last 6 years. And it’s actually really cool that this post is coming out fairly close to our 6 year anniversary of our original Nyx’s Grove blog post. 

A lot of people say that consistency is key. And they are absolutely correct. You have to be consistent with everything you do. Trust us, we struggle in that department and can definitely tell the difference. Consistency will always beat out inspiration. If you only write or post when you are inspired, gaining traction and getting a following will be immensely harder. The magic happens when you return no matter what, not when you wait for the perfect mood. 

That being said, rest is key just as much as consistency is. If you are so dedicated to keeping a schedule that you burn yourself out, no one wins. You may have content being pushed out, but it unfortunately comes down to quality over quantity. More posts mean very little if it isn’t good content. Your mental and physical health is 100% more important than making sure content gets out on time. 

Community matters more than any algorithm. No matter what you are told, building a community is the way you get success. Numbers are important, yes, but the people behind them are always more important. Always. 

And above all else, you are allowed to change. Your path is never set in stone. You always have a chance to change how you act or react to situations. You are not stuck in a certain type of content because that’s what you started with. Make the change, post the things. The people that matter will like it regardless. Because they are there for you. 

Nyx’s Grove has evolved because we evolved. And that evolution is not something to apologize for. 

Where We Are Now, and What Comes Next

Right now, we are at a point where Nyx’s Grove is becoming a living thing. It’s spells and stories, the lessons learned the hard way. It’s a body of work built slowly with care. We are at the cusp of starting a following on social media. Which is awesome. We just need to work on being a little more consistent with posting things. Lol 

Looking ahead, we are not chasing bigger for the sake of being bigger, we are focusing on being deeper. Deeper practices, deeper teaching, and deeper connection. 

As of right now, we are still moving forward with the blog, the gaming channel, the podcast, and the shop. The path forward may not be smooth, honestly, it’s going to be quite challenging. But, we are up for the challenge and will move forward nonetheless.
