Step into the realm of possibility — today we meet the Magician, the master of manifestation and willpower. Welcome to One Card at a Time, where we dive deep into the wisdom of the Tarot, one card at a time. Let’s continue with card number I: the Magician.
Manifestation and Mystery
“As above, so below”. That is the main principle for the Magician card. He guides us through self discovery, and transformation into our higher selves. Once we achieve attunement with the higher planes, the secrets of manifestation open to us, and we can bring whatever we want into the world with action and intention. The Magician inspires us to think creatively, and find new, sometimes better, ways to problem solve and get over the hurdles of life. Aligning actions, thoughts, and intentions is all it takes to manifest your dreams. Do things you know will help the overall goal, no matter how seemingly small.
Symbols of Power
The Magician wears white, for purity, and red, to convey their knowledge. Their belt is a snake biting its tail, the ouroborous. It is the symbol of infinite potential, and cycles. Above their head is the infinity symbol, adding to the limitless potential. In front of the Magician is a table with the different symbols of the suits, demonstrating their mastery over the elements. Their hands are pointing up and down, telling all, “As above, so below.”
When the Magician is Upright
When the Magician shows up in your tarot spread it is telling you that you have all the tools and resources to make your dreams a reality. This is an empowering card, bringing to you great opportunities and the direction to meet the demands of your chosen path. Have confidence in your abilities, and move ever forward, reaching for those goals and dreams.
When the Magician is Reversed
When reversed the Magician warns about deception, whether from internal or external sources. Focusing becomes a battle — scattered energy, self-doubt, and confusion cloud your path. There may be some misuse of abilities or resources. Be wary of potential manipulation. One must be very mindful in the wake of the Magician reversed.
