This spell work is actually supposed to be used in conjunction with my Self Love Ritual we recently posted.
Items to gather:
- Candles
- Yellow, Red, Blue, Green, Purple for the elements
- White for spell work (we used a glass pillar candle we specifically dressed for this ritual and a future ritual)
- Herbs
- Salt for protection and purification
- Rosemary to stop gossip and to help with memory
- Sage to cleanse your energy
- Lavender for calming/rid anxiety
- A crystal necklace/jewelry of some form. (We used a clear quartz that is round with a hole in the middle, so I will be referring to it as a necklace.)
- Smudge Stick and anything you would normally use
- Some form of bell or singing bowl
- Something to tie the spell to you like hair, blood, or saliva
Prep work
This ritual is going to pretty much follow the Self-Love Ritual fairly closely. Especially because they are meant to be done at the same time/right after each other.
Gather all your items needed and set up your altar in a way that feels right to you. I personally will get all my herbs together in a separate bowl before the ritual, so for something like this, I would put the herbs in the jar and have everything else sitting by it. I would also set aside some of the herbs that went into the jar for incense, but that isn’t necessary because the ritual itself won’t actually use the cauldron.
We did this ritual inside our living room, so we marked out the circle with a mixture of salt, sage, and lavender. If you plan on doing this outside, I would replace the salt with powdered eggshells because salt is damaging to the earth.
Mark the circle or area that you plan on performing your magic. This would also be where you could light any decorative candles or light incense if you plan on using them.
Once everything is situated, your space is marked, and your altar is set up, you are ready to start the ritual.
Ritual Start
Sit in the middle of your circle in front of your altar. Take a few deep breaths and center yourself and focus on your intent. Start calling the elements by saying the following, lighting the respective candle as you go:
“Love and light, we call thee to this magic place,
Join us now, through time and space.
Mind, Body, Spirit, and Heart,
Make sacred this space, a world apart.
Bless us now with elements five,
Air, Fire, Water, Earth, and Spirit come alive!
Our cause is true, our magic just,
Open this circle with perfect love and perfect trust!”
With the circle open and the elements called, take the smudge stick and ask each element to please the herbs and the smoke to help clean yourself and your space. Light the smudge stick using the candles and proceed to cleansing yourself and the space you are in. Make sure to smudge the necklace you plan on using as well.
Light the spell candle.
After cleansing everything, take the necklace and hold it over the spell candle. Focus on the crystal. See the negativity in you flowing into it and say:
“Hear these words, hear the rhyme,
Hear me now through space and time.
Energies of new and old,
Ancient magic strong and bold!
Blessed charm of Metal and Earth,
Allow me now, a spiritual rebirth.
Take this pain, this self-inflicted hate,
Into this charm they will concentrate.
With every day, each passing hour,
This spell will grow with stronger power.
By each call of elements five,
This magic shall be kept alive.”
When you complete the spell, put the necklace on and feel the magic swirling around you, pulling the negativity and self-hate out of you and into the necklace.
Unlike the other rituals, after this would pretty much be the end of the ritual. The only other thing that you would want to do is ask the elements to keep the spell work active even when the ritual is over.
Once done you would close the ritual like any other one I’ve posted. Like with the Self-Love ritual, the longer you can keep the candle lit, the longer the magic will be flowing into the necklace.
So, what do you think of this ritual? Have you tried anything like this? Would you try anything like this? If you are planning to try this, let us know how it goes!
